The hotel offers warm and comfortable rooms with a bit of a chilly start. The staff provides welcoming and helpful service, although some issues remained unresolved. The location is convenient for exploring the town and enjoying a relaxing tea time. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with plenty of choices but some service hiccups. Overall, the atmosphere needs a bit of updating but is promising for a return visit.

The hotel is centrally located with a beautiful view of the river Shannon. The rooms are functional, but not luxurious, looking out onto roofs at the rear. The service from the managers to the cleaning staff was friendly, efficient, and commendable. The dining experience was average despite the high cost for non-residents. The facilities were satisfactory overall, offering a decent stay at a reasonable price.

My stay at the hotel was truly delightful. The lovely classical designed room I stayed in was not only comfortable and spotlessly clean but also surprisingly quiet despite facing the main road. The only downside was the initial struggle to heat up the room in the evening, but after a quick call to reception, they promptly resolved the issue, and everything was perfect from then on.

Rooms

The room was lovely and comfortable, spotlessly clean, and quiet despite facing the main road. Heating up the room initially could've been better, but the prompt response from reception fixed it without a problem.
Service
9.0
The service from the moment I entered the lobby to interactions in the rooms, restaurant, and bar was exceptional. The staff were lovely, very helpful, and always went above and beyond with their courteous manners, especially at reception.
Location

The hotel's location, designed like a Spanish terraza, provided a feeling of grandeur and a warm welcome from the receptionist. Situated on the banks of the Shannon, just across the road from the lovely marina, it offers a charming setting.
Dining

The dining experience had its drawbacks, with requests potentially not being delivered, and the need to relocate meals due to noise. However, the conservatory setting added a nice touch despite some hiccups.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's facilities were satisfactory overall, though there were minor issues with the dining experience. However, the beautiful conservatory setting made up for any shortcomings.

6.2/10

The hotel has a modern and refreshing design with carefully decorated rooms filled with an art concept and fresh flowers, although it didn't match the online pictures accurately. The service was friendly but somewhat inexperienced and slow to respond. The location offers beautiful views of the river Shannon and marina, despite some noise issues and accessibility challenges. The dining experience had some shortcomings with minimal breakfast offerings. On the positive side, the place boasts great steaks.

The hotel offers a modern and refreshing stay with beautiful lake views, but service can be lacking in experience at times. The location is convenient for exploring Carrick-on-Shannon, though noise from the plant room can be bothersome. Dining options are limited and overpriced, detracting from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are in need of a makeover but still offer a modern and refreshing ambiance with fine views of the lake and amenity area.
Service
6.0
The service staff, while lovely, can be inexperienced and slow to notice things. They seem young and could benefit from more experienced senior staff support.
Location
8.0
The hotel is within walking distance of Carrick-on-Shannon and close to town facilities, providing a mix of grandeur and noise from the plant room.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience, although varied, was below average with limited options and a slightly chaotic atmosphere, especially during breakfast times.
Facilities
The hotel features a range of facilities, though the dining area ambiance could be improved for a more pleasant dining experience.
